Not for the Bride
When I first saw this picture,
I was like, damn, who woulda thought of
going out looking like a goth bride?

Waisted
I remember the first time I saw this outfit
and being utterly inspired.
Seriously...
who would have thought of working
a shirt tied around your waist
as an intentionally fashionable
aspect of your outfit?

Sittin' On the Dock of the Bay
Well!
I suppose I'll kick this summer off
with a little photo diary of what's been going on,
if any of you actually give a hoot...

Dressing Down
I know...I know...
a lot of you probably think this is pretty ugly.
I couldn't say the same for myself, however.

Drawing Inspiration from Grandpa
Grandparents.
Not your first choice when it comes
to styling inspiration.
But I guess that's the thing about fashion.
It's unexpected.

Details, Details...
Today's post is not so much an "outfit" post,
as it is a scrutinization of details.
Details are extremely important
and often disregarded in determining
the outcome of a look.
So I thought I would spend a little time
talking about some so-called trivial elements
talking about some so-called trivial elements
that I feel really add to an outfit...

Most Overused Fashion Words
Ohhhh mmaahhh gaaahhh...
It seems like every time I go on fashion blogs these days,
you're pretty much guaranteed to see the following words:

Class Act
with the extended family
at our Grandma's house.
at our Grandma's house.
I wasn't planning on
taking any pictures,
but eventually
(as it would happen with my cousins)
(as it would happen with my cousins)
one thing led to another,
and what do you know...
I have a photo shoot for you all.

Roma! (p. 1)

Hello, all.
This is probably the longest
I've ever gone
without posting.
I meant to post yesterday,
but I was busy,
and for a good reason.

Art of the Sleeve
This will be a very short post.
But what I wanted to talk about
is very important in terms of
how your outfit will carry out.

Hazel Eyes
Yay, my colored contacts came!
If you must know, I technically have brown eyes.
....Which I wouldn't even say were brown.
They're so dark they're practically black =/
Anyway, I chose hazel contacts
because one time I saw these Islander-looking kids
at my sister's old hula group.
And they were so beautiful.
They had dark tan skin
and then these piercing hazel-green eyes.
It was such a shocking contrast,
which mesmerized me the most.
And I thought,
Wow,
I would like to look that exotic, too.
I don't think it looks too unnatural..?
What do you think?

Drawing Inspiration from Street Style
-----
Hey there, you unknown individual.
Hey there, you unknown individual.
Sorry for the lack of presence.
No fear, though.
I have some outfits I plan on posting in the days to come.
So don't wander too far off.
I'm still here.
In the meantime,
I want to talk about street style
and the fashion tips that can be drawn from them.
Street style is where I gather many clever sartorial "how-tos."
You know...
advice on one should wear certain clothing articles with other pieces,
possibly acquiring DIY inspiration in the process.

Chills
I started school today =( It's like the weather knew it too because the day ended up being cold, raining, and dreary, not to mention major traffic on the way to class. For crying out loud, it was JUST sunny not too long ago during winter break! Meh.
That's why I'm here bundling up with layers. I liked the idea of pairing something loose and casual like a knit cardigan with a more fancier and tailored piece like a blazer. The gradual layers peeping out of my sleeves were just right touch.
Under shirt: Buffalo Exchange
Cardigan: Mossimo
Blazer: Walmart!
Scarf: Mom's

Redo of "Classique"
I redid my previous "Classique" outfit with an added beret and vintage Italian bag. I had to post this again because it looked so 60s perfect with included accessories! ^_^
