To all you Gleeks out there...Does this sweater look familiar?

Of course it does! That's because Kurt wore it in the "I Kissed a Girl" episode!

Ok, ok, well maybe it's not the exact jumper, since I'm too poor and cheap for that...(the original is the Acne Normandie Mono Sweater and it costs £160.00) Suffice to say, I had to put my DIY-ing skills to work, regardless of the fact I was hyperventilating like crazy when the scissors started sawing through the first threads of fabric. DIY can KILL a person, I'm telling you. Especially if something goes wrong. Luckily for me, even though it's not my best work, I'm actually overall pretty happy with the outcome. It's very fashion forward, no?

Now about the dress--there are several reasons why I love it. First of all, it has my absolute favorite thing in the world: a pencil skirt (for insta-chicness); secondly, it has an absolutely darling peplum and peter pan collar (the latter is hidden, however); and furthermore, it has EXAGGERATED SLEEVES, where I can channel my inner Gaga/80s vibe. Put that all together and you got one BANGIN’ DRESS and WORK IT.

That’s right. I just happened to be strolling around with ONE SLEEVE.

Dear reader, I must now take this time to ask you to please disregard the fact that this half sweater is not entirely climate-appropriate. For the sake of sartorial conquest, sometimes one's other arm must be allowed to freeze.

Sincerely, LEIRA, so-called sartorial conquistador of sorts.

Sweater: Banana Republic, with DIY modifications
Dress: from some random shop in La Habra
Shoes: Qupid
Socks: Target
Necklace: Forever 21
